Mike Cooke joined the Renaissance Resources team at the beginning of 2005. Prior to this time Molins PLC, the International Specialist Engineering Group, employed him for 37 years. He held a number of Executive positions including those of International Sales and Marketing Director, Commercial Director, Group Business Development Director, and President of Molins US Holding Company as well as President of Molins North American Tobacco machinery business in Richmond, Virginia. Throughout this time he demonstrated an ability to accept and manage change, which included “hands on” streamlining and business restructuring to meet new but sustainable market trends.
During the latter part of his career he successfully implemented a significant strategic change of direction and as a result opened up new and profitable markets. As Group Business Development Director he was responsible for defining, developing, and leading a major diversification strategy; including the acquisition of two companies and their subsequent integration within Molins PLC.
Mike Cooke was born and raised in England, and after High School graduation chose to complete a five year Engineering Apprenticeship; at the same time pursuing a Higher National Certificate in Mechanical Engineering at a Polytechnic. In 1985 he completed an intensive Executive Management Program at INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France.
