Chip has more than 30 years of experience in financial management and leadership with large manufacturing companies. Most recently, Chip was the Senior Vice President Finance and CFO for Hamilton Beach Proctor Silex. His knowledge includes extensive experience in internal controls, financial reporting, accounting, credit, treasury and human resources. He has managed information technology as well as tax and insurance. Chip’s background includes strategy planning, consolidations, plant closures, mergers and joint ventures. One of Chip’s greatest assets is his knowledge of manufacturing. He has enhanced plant productivity and developed improved costing techniques. He is experienced in inventory management and lean manufacturing. During his career, Chip was heavily involved with international operations. He served as Director of a capital goods manufacturing company in the U.K. and various officer positions for Mexican and Canadian companies. He also has experience with a Japanese joint venture. His industry experience not only includes capital goods, but also includes automotive, banking and consumer products. Over Chip’s career, he has successfully merged companies, developed strategic business plans, bought and sold companies, improved asset management, developed and implemented bank lines of credit, improved both internal and external reporting, rationalized plants and transferred product to off shore locations. Chip has Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Virginia Tech and has been a member of the Financial Council of Manufacturer’s Alliance.
