 David Ambruster has more than 25 years of professional experience in human resources, recruiting and executive development. He spent 13 years with Penn State University's Executive and Management Development Programs as both a faculty member and a manager on the academic administrative staff. He developed the first curriculum for women executives and raised funds for the construction of Management Program Center in Pittsburgh. An effective presenter and training consultant, he continues to serve as a part time instructor at the University of Richmond.
His expertise as a “hands on” human resources generalist directly involved with employee and labor relations issues has been refined working with major corporations including Cooper Industries, Tampella Power and Alfa Laval. David has worked in both the domestic and international arena, including the start-up for 3 manufacturing and 2 independent power plant facilities. Dave joined Renaissance Resources in 1998 to head the executive search business and has seen it more than double in that period.
David received his BBA Degree in Economics & Business from Southern Arkansas University. He later earned his MS Degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Central Arkansas. He has completed courses (ABD) towards his Doctorate in Management & Organizational Behavior from Penn State. David is an active member of SHRM, ACA, ASTD and Human Resources Planning Society.
